License Professional Counselor

We are searching for an unbiased licensed professional counselor to lead counseling and psychotherapeutic interventions. The licensed professional counselor should schedule intake assessments, gauge clients’ treatment needs, and then devise contextually sensitive treatment options. As therapy unfolds, you should review the suggested length and type of interventions to boost clients’ prospects of fully recovering.

To ensure success as a licensed professional counselor, you should be able to take projection in your stride while maintaining honest dialogues with clients. A remarkable licensed professional counselor will be cognizant of societal factors that shape clients’ experiences.

Licensed Professional Counselor Responsibilities

  • Informing prospective clients about pertinent financial and emotional commitments.
  • Consulting with new clients to gauge their difficulties and resources.
  • Devising tailor-made treatment regimens and adapting these, as needed.
  • Addressing concerns through talk therapy and by modeling adaptive, sustainable behaviors.
  • Promoting constructive self-reflection, helpful coping techniques, and nurturing relationships.
  • Monitoring perceptions about and adherence to suggested treatment.
  • Recording symptomology over time to ascertain the utility of interventions.
  • Writing medical and suitable referral notes, as required.
  • Staying warm, engaged, and receptive as you work to facilitate healing.

Licensed Professional Counselor Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a counseling-related stream.
  • Proven experience as a licensed professional counselor.
  • Registered and able to practice as a licensed professional counselor.
  • Proficient in numerous local languages is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Committed to delivering culturally congruent treatment.
  • Strong, demonstrable community orientation.
  • Empathic, sensitive, and driven to foster healing.

Addiction Counselors

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated substance abuse counselor to help provide direction and support for our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for developing treatment and recovery plans, and identifying behaviors that impede rehabilitation. You may also be required to facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.

To ensure success, substance abuse counselors should be familiar with the latest treatment methods, and collaborate with other mental health care specialists. Top-notch candidates have excellent clinical knowledge and demonstrable counseling experience.

Substance Abuse Counselor Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of a case from date of entry to date of discharge.
  • Evaluating patients’ physical and mental behaviors.
  • Developing appropriate treatment and recovery plans.
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitoring patients over time to access treatment progress.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers, and departments of correction.
  • Identifying behaviors that interfere with treatment and recovery.
  • Assisting primary caregivers to manage addiction-related behavior.

Substance Abuse Counselor Requirements

  • Associate degree in chemical dependency counseling, or a bachelor’s degree with coursework in chemical dependency.
  • Master’s degree in counseling preferred.
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or similar.
  • Previous experience with the treatment of substance abuse disorders.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems like AVATAR would be advantageous.
  • Experience with co-occurring health and mental health problems.
  • Application of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services’ (SAMHSA) best practice indicators.
  • In-depth knowledge of drug and alcohol testing to monitor treatment plans and medical instructions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.

Case Managers

We are interested in hiring a new case manager to join our team and take ownership of a number of new and existing cases. You should have previous experience as a case manager owning a large portfolio of cases. You will need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience working with clients to develop treatment plans.

Case Manager Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of cases.
  • Meeting with clients on a regular basis.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proactively managing providers.
  • Working in accordance with relevant legislation, health care best practices, and internal policy and procedure.
  • Accurately updating and maintain cases.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date case information.
  • Helping to manage patient health care needs and services in areas such as long-term care, mental health, substance abuse, and geriatric care.
  • Work with clients to create a treatment plan.
  • Work with each service provider on a discharge plan.

Case Manager Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business, communications, social work, or related field.
  • Experience as a case manager.
  • Experience working with clients to develop a treatment plan.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation relevant to cases.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Background in health care, social work, mental health, disability care, substance abuse recovery, geriatric care, and long-term care.
  • Demonstrated experience within a customer service environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outcome-focused with the ability to manage competing demands.
